There are a lot of places to see and a lot of places to visit in Minsk. If you get home from your vacation and realize that there was one place you failed to visit while you were still in the historical city of Minsk, it will be most unfortunate. One way to prevent this is to go on a city tour.

As with most vacation spots around the world, there are a lot of city tours available in Minsk. There are a lot of companies that offer this type of service so you won’t have a hard time looking for one. Don’t just choose any city tour service company though. It will do you good to do your research and pick the best one out there that will fit your needs and of course your budget.

There are different packages for city tours. There 2-3 hour tours wherein you will get to visit the crème of the crop of Minsk attractions. This 3 hour tour includes time in the travelling to the destinations and on foot exploring the famous attractions. A city tour of this type would most likely have these places in the list of attractions you would be visiting: Independence Square, the Red Church, Victory Square, Troitskoye Predmestye, Holy Trinity Cathedral and St.Catherine’s Church, and Yanka Kupala Park. Most tours of this type offer an English speaking guide that will tell you interesting facts about all the places you will visit. You can also arrange for a tour just for 1 or 2 persons, in which you will be travel in a car, or a tour for up 3-7 persons, in which you will be travelling inside a minibus.

There are also themed tours available in Minsk, wherein you will concentrate on a single area. Examples of these are the National Arts Musuem tour, where you will visit the National Arts Musuem and learn all about the important art pieces and historical artifacts that are housed in it; the Khatyn Memorial and Glory Mount tour, where you will visit the memorials and learn about the touching story behind it; the Mir Castle and Nesvizh tour, where you will visit the beautiful and elegant Mir Castle that was made in the 15th century and the town of Nesvizh where you will see the Renaissance Radziville family castle built in the 16th century; and the Berenzinsky Nature Reserve tour, where you will get to see the green side of Minsk and visit forests, lakes that have existed for over a thousand years and also deep rivers.
